In the US, this combination quickly became known for very heavy resin coverage, compact flowers and a clear, strong effect. For our version we worked with two GG4 lines from the US that were grown and documented over several runs in California. Selected plants had to show three things every time: very resinous buds, a practical framework with productive side branches and a Glue character that is easy to recognise. Only when these traits appeared repeatedly under different conditions was the line released as Gorilla Glue #4 by Seeds66.
Growth & cultivation
Gorilla Glue #4 feminized leans slightly towards Indica and builds a clear main stem with firm side branches. Indoors, with a moderate veg phase, most plants end up around 80–120 cm. A single topping or some LST is usually enough to create a flat, well-lit canopy that works well with SCROG-style nets.
In the tent, flowering time is generally around 8 to 9 weeks. During this period the buds gain weight, harden and develop a thick layer of trichomes. Constant air movement and a relative humidity of roughly 40–50% in late flower help to keep the flowers healthy. Outdoors, in a good season, Gorilla Glue #4 can reach up to 2 m; in Central Europe harvest usually falls between late September and mid-October.
