Holy Mary - Sweetopia... If you are an absolute connoisseur of aromas and flavours, this Variety is an absolute "must have"!
This plant is a potent exotic Indica with a THC concentration of over 23%. It produces an incredible amount of resin and is very productive. Its main characteristic lies in the lovely interplay of fruity terpenes with the tangy freshness of a fruit salad, which characterises the enjoyment of this incredibly tasty Variety.
Sweetopia is a cross between two first-class indica varieties. The first is Citra, characterised by its tangy citrus profile, underlined with the hashish notes of a Kush plant and the second is Thin Mint, a phenotype of the popular GSC (Girl Scout Cookies), known for its minty sweetness.
The growth of Sweetopia
Indoor: It is an indica that grows mostly during the vegetative phase and only grows very little further upwards once it starts flowering. Growers should therefore fill as much space as possible before switching to 12/12.
For fat buds along the main branches, some pruning is recommended. The other advice from the Paradise team is: Patience! This plant may appear to be ripe earlier than it actually is. However, if you allow it to grow for the full 65 days so that the full potential of the terpene profile can unfold, you will be richly rewarded.
Outdoors: Sweetopia is a medium-growing plant that also behaves very much like a traditional indica and develops its full potential in Mediterranean and warm, dry areas. In cool and humid areas, it is important to ensure sufficient ventilation due to its short, bushy growth.
You will notice that this plant has a few special characteristics when it comes to its dense flowering. Initially all white, a sticky base of resin, it turns into a spectacle of colour as soon as the flowers begin to ripen. Enveloped in red, pink, amber and yellow and infused with purple tones.
Sweetopia is suitable for outdoor cultivation between 50º N.L. and 50º S.L. and is ready to harvest in the first weeks of October, indoors it takes about 8 - 9 weeks. Indoors you can expect a yield of around 600 grams/m² and outdoors 900 grams/plant.
The effect of Sweetopia
Pleasure-related: Despite its indica parentage, the citrus-like terpene profile produces a euphoric, invigorating effect that is very sociable in smaller quantities. If you prefer to be really couch-locked, a larger amount can help you achieve this state of deep relaxation.
Medicinal: Sweetopia is of medical benefit to patients who want a positive outlook on life or an all-round relaxed state of mind.
The smell and flavour of Sweetopia
If you love terpenes, this is an exotic Variety whose full-bodied terpene profile will make the noses of connoisseurs "smell up". The aroma of Sweetopia is filled with the tangy flavour of lemons, limes and clementines, offering the full spectrum of citrus smells.
The intensity of the terpene profile is also experienced in the flavour. It begins with a tingling sensation on the tongue that stimulates salivation and literally makes your mouth water. Other flavours also come through, such as resinous, earthy hashish and diesel notes, and even a hint of red berries can be detected.
