Sleepy Joe combines the earthy backbone of Obama Kush with the brighter, fruit-driven character of Nova OG. From the Afghani side come the dense bud sites and the heavy, calming body impression, while the Nova OG parent adds a clearer top note and extra resin coverage. During selection we focused on phenotypes with medium internodes, a strong root zone and a flower structure that builds volume without losing light penetration around the sides. The line used here is the one that most consistently kept this mix of weight, structure and manageable height.
Growth & cultivation
Indoors, Sleepy Joe tends to stay in the medium height range, with a dominant main cola and side branches that keep close to the central stem. Under LED lighting and with a lamp distance around 35–45 cm the flower sites along the middle section stay well lit and fill out step by step. In soil or coco an even watering schedule with short drying intervals keeps the plant stable; the root zone does not react well to long periods of saturation. From around week 4 of flowering the resin layer begins to thicken visibly and continues to build until harvest, while the upper half of the plant carries most of the weight in a typical setup.
