Fugue State is Mephisto's Amnesia line in autoflower format. It stands for fast growth, decent yield and a Sativa direction.
In 2015 and 2016, Mephisto worked with several packs of Amnesia Haze BX1 from Archive Seeds and compared them in parallel with different Amnesia cuts. Everything was pollinated with Walter White. In the F1, the Archive cross came out on top, so they kept building on that. At the same time, the project filled a gap in the catalogue because a strong Sativa line was still missing.
Walter White was a fitting base for that. The profile stays close to Amnesia, but also brings extra resin and structure. After several rounds of selection, Fugue State was there: an auto with a clear Amnesia impact and good resin production.

The growth of Fugue State
Fugue State grows fast and stretches early. The leaves are narrow and the plant looks Sativa-leaning. The stretch usually runs until about day 35 to 40 after germination, then it moves quickly into flower. The buds come out large and compact and start producing resin early. Because the leaf mass stays manageable, light gets into the inner parts well, which helps the lower areas.
It handles training well, but you do not need to do much. Removing a few large lower leaves is usually enough. In late flower, too much density can become a weak point. All in all, this is a productive auto with a clear Sativa handwriting, good resin coverage and a robust structure.
The effect of Fugue State
Fugue State feels creative, with a clear head high. It is not the first choice for the evening, but it fits all the better during the day. It is very strong and should not be underestimated. It is also described as mood-lifting and appetite-stimulating.
Smell and taste of Fugue State
In the profile, it goes in a citrus direction. Added to that are spicy tones, some pepper and a light pine note. In smoke, it stays citrusy and resinous, with a dry, spicy note.
