Z42 is a feminized F1 hybrid from Fast Buds made from Z3 (Terphogz) x Candy Fumez (Bloom Seed Co.). The strain was released as a limited release and is clearly aimed at growers who look first at terpenes, resin and bag appeal in modern genetics.
Fast Buds describes the profile as Candy-Gas. Behind that are sweet Z notes, creamy Sherbet elements and a light fuel tone that gives the aroma more pressure. This exact mix is what makes Z42 interesting. Z42 stands for a modern US hybrid line with high resin production.
The growth of Z42
Z42 grows medium to tall and builds strong side branches. In flower, the strain pushes frosty buds that immediately stand out. From around the middle of flowering onwards, it starts to get darker.
The flowering time is around 8 to 9 weeks. Indoors, under good conditions, 500 to 600 g/m² are possible, while outdoors Fast Buds states 120 to 350 g per plant.
The effect of Z42
With a THC content of up to 31 %, Z42 is a very strong strain. The effect comes on with pressure and quickly. Due to the 50/50 split of Sativa and Indica, the effect is very balanced.
Smell and taste of Z42
The aroma profile is clearly the main focus here. Z42 combines sweet candy notes with a creamy and slightly gassy edge. On top of that come fruity tones that make the whole thing a bit rounder.
