White Widow is a feminized, indica-dominant strain from Silent Seeds. It became known in Holland in the mid-1990s and has been one of the fixed classics of the scene ever since. Anyone who experienced White Widow in the coffeeshops of Amsterdam back then usually remembers it exactly.
It does not carry its name without reason. The flowers can become heavily covered in resin. The plant then looks as if it has been dusted white. Exactly this image has defined White Widow for years.
The growth of White Widow
White Widow grows compact, with short internodes and strong branches. The leaves are broad and the growth stays squat. Typical is a fat main stem with several well-stacked side branches.
The plants develop dense, heavy flowers and can produce up to 550 g/m² indoors. Outdoors, up to 900 g per plant are possible under good conditions. Outside, it can become very large and reach over 2.5 meters with plenty of sun. Harvest usually falls between early October and mid-October.
The effect of White Widow
White Widow delivers a strong physical effect with a calm and relaxing direction. The high builds up quickly and lasts comparatively long. It is especially liked in the evening.
Smell and taste of White Widow
In terms of taste, White Widow goes in a sweet and at the same time spicy direction. Pine, earth and a slightly bitter note are added. This complex profile is exactly what many still like about the strain today.
