Original Amnesia is a sativa-dominant feminized strain and has been firmly associated with the name Amnesia for years. This line was already present in many Amsterdam coffeeshops in the early 2000s. Silent Seeds keeps it in the lineup as a fast photoperiod sativa hybrid with a strong Haze profile and high yield.
Indoors as well as outdoors, it puts on serious weight. In flower, it does not stretch as much as other sativas. The profile carries citrus, cedarwood, incense and the typical Haze spice. The effect is strong and stays present for a long time.
The growth of Original Amnesia
Original Amnesia grows quite controlled for a sativa-dominant strain. The plants usually stay more compact than many classic Haze lines, show medium internodal spacing and develop broad and long leaves.
Especially indoors, that is a real advantage. The strain clearly shows sativa influence, but its structure stays more predictable than many long-flowering Haze lines. That saves trouble with height control. And the yield still stays very high.
Indoors, up to 600 g/m² are possible under good conditions. Outdoors, it can build large, elongated and heavy flowers and reach yields of up to 1200 g per plant.
That is exactly why this strain never really disappeared. High yield, manageable flowering time and a Haze profile that clearly goes in the direction people expect from Amnesia.
The effect of Original Amnesia
Original Amnesia clearly leans toward the sativa side. The effect starts cerebral, euphoric and active. The high lasts a long time and is very strong, later a calm physical relaxation follows. This is a strain for active users and not for couch loungers.

The profile is classic Amnesia: citrus, Haze, a bit of cedarwood, plus incense and a spicy depth. Nothing sweet, more clear, dry and distinctive. This exact mix is what still makes it interesting for Haze fans today.
