Pink Panama is not an ordinary autoflower. The line leans in a sativa-heavy direction, finishes early and brings colour as well as its own aroma profile. The basis for this came from an older Mephisto cross that sat in the archive for a long time and was only picked up again later.
The foundation was Panama Chunk from Ace Seeds and Cannabiogen. On top of that came an auto line that had already been worked for several generations. The selection was not about mass at any price, but about vigorous growth, long colas, colour accents and plenty of resin.
Pink Panama is one of the faster Mephisto strains. In individual cases it can already be finished in under 60 days from germination.
The growth of Pink Panama
Pink Panama shows its sativa side early. The leaves are narrow and serrated. How large it gets in the end depends strongly on the root space. In smaller pots it stays more compact. If you give it larger pots, it pushes much more length.
Under Mephisto's own tests many plants turned out rather large. Often with a dominant main cola, tight nodal spacing and small side branches. The buds do not look extremely bulky at first, but they grow very dense. Differences between phenotypes show more in the flowers than in the basic structure. Some get colour early. Others stay lighter for longer and only show pink to violet tones toward the end.
The effect of Pink Panama
Pink Panama usually starts euphoric. Later the high becomes less and it pushes more strongly in the relaxed direction. Depending on the amount it can also press you into the sofa. In terms of effect it is often used for stress, low mood and pain.
Smell and taste of Pink Panama
The profile goes in an earthy direction. Coffee and ripe plum often come first. In the finish there is wood, dark chocolate, some citrus and a fine hint of pine. There is plenty of resin. Some phenos are also extremely fruity.
But the real appeal lies in the aroma. Pink Panama stands apart in the Mephisto range from many sweeter or candy lines.
