Mint Candy is a limited feminized hybrid strain from Silent Seeds. The genetics are based on Face Off OG Bx2 x Animal Face Mints and are optimized for resin production, thick buds and a distinct Kush-mint profile.
Mint Candy was created through several selection steps. Silent Seeds first worked with Animal Bx1 and Face Mints and then selected the base for the final line from more than 500 plants. Face Mints goes back to Seedjunky Genetics, Face Off OG Bx2 to Archive Seeds. Genetically, Mint Candy is therefore firmly rooted in the modern US hybrid corner.
The growth of Mint Candy
Mint Candy grows slim and vigorous. Due to the larger internodal spacing, light gets well into the plant, which promotes the development of the buds. Because of its stretch, the veg phase should not be drawn out too long.
Many phenotypes put on a lot of mass in flowering. With balanced feeding, it delivers good yields and forms large and compact flowers that glitter with resin. Toward the end, depending on the phenotype, it can turn violet to dark.
The effect of Mint Candy
The effect starts clearly in the head and then shifts into a calm physical relaxation. Mint Candy fits more into the later part of the day, when not much is left to do.
Smell and taste of Mint Candy
Aromatically, it goes in a clear Kush direction with notes of mint, cookie, lemon, diesel, pine and a gassy note. The profile feels full, modern and stays distinctive even after drying. Growers who are into the Wedding Cake lane in particular get a strain here with a lot of depth of flavor.
