Cheese by Seeds66 is one of those strains you recognize the moment you open the jar. That dense, savory cheese aroma with its earthy backbone is anything but subtle – and that’s exactly why so many growers love it. Our line stays close to the classic Skunk-and-Afghani heritage but was selected to grow predictably, build strong lateral branches, and perform reliably in daily grow conditions, indoors and outdoors alike.

Origin & Seeds66 Selection
This Cheese line roots itself in a classic trio: Skunk #1, a robust Afghani, and a resin-heavy White Widow. Combined, they create a hybrid that flowers densely, carries weight, and expresses a well-defined savory-cheese aroma. For the Seeds66 version, we selected phenotypes that hold this structure consistently – compact buds, firm side branches, and a growth pattern that’s easy to guide.
Cheese by Seeds66 shows its indica influence in the way it builds: controlled, sturdy, but not too squat. Indoors it stays at manageable height; outdoors it can stretch well beyond 2 meters depending on soil volume and sunlight exposure. During selection, we discarded lines that grew too wild or drifted away from the iconic Cheese profile. What remained was a version that behaves reliably without losing its distinctive character.
Growth & Cultivation
Cheese feminized grows vigorously but stays easy to manage. Indoors she typically settles between 80 and 110 cm if the veg phase isn’t pushed too long. Her side branches develop steadily, making her ideal for broad canopies. Light topping or gentle LST early on helps distribute the buds across a flat, efficient structure.
Outdoors she shows her full potential: with good soil preparation, enough substrate, and a sunny, protected spot, heights up to 250 cm are realistic. Harvest time usually falls around late September. She responds well to an airy canopy and clean leaf management in late bloom, which helps her finish with dense, evenly matured colas.
Seeds66 Tip: When growing Cheese, plan two things from day one: ample fresh air and reliable odor control. In mid-flower she develops a very pronounced aroma that can fill a room quickly. Keep feeding moderate – a solid base nutrient plan, occasional Cal-Mag correction, and well-draining media are enough to produce yield without pushing the flavor into harsh or overly sharp territory.
Aroma & Terpenes
Open the jar and the unmistakable Cheese note hits immediately: a savory mix of mature cheese, damp earth, and subtle herbal warmth. Breaking the buds intensifies the profile – many describe hints of aged wood, spice, and a light sweetness underneath.
Inhaled, the flavor stays surprisingly balanced. The Skunk backbone brings a clear, spicy line, while Afghani and White Widow add earthy and resinous undertones. The result is a profile that doesn’t try to please everyone – but for true Cheese fans, it’s exactly the deep, character-driven aroma they’re looking for.
Effects
With 15–18 % THC, Cheese feminized sits in a range many consider “noticeable but manageable.” The onset is fairly quick: first a mental easing, a bit of clarity, then a slow unwinding throughout the shoulders and body.
In moderate doses she pairs well with easy evenings – cooking, music, a movie, or relaxed conversation. Larger amounts reveal her indica side more clearly and often anchor you to the couch. She’s not ideal for focused tasks; as a wind-down strain after a full day, she shines.
Seeds66 Philosophy
For us, Cheese is a strain that clearly reflects the quality of a setup. When climate, airflow, and nutrients fall into place, she produces dense, evenly built buds with a clean terpene expression. When something drifts off, she shows it clearly – a trait many growers appreciate because it helps fine-tune their environment.
We keep only lines that show this kind of reproducible behavior and stay stable from run to run. Marketing names matter far less to us than performance under real grow conditions. A strain earns its place at Seeds66 by consistently delivering what its profile promises.
