Buddha Auto AK draws on the genetics of a true classic whose strong potency set standards early on. The name of this classic is often misunderstood, as it does not refer to a weapon, but goes back to one of its parent lines: a pure Afghan Kush.
In the 1970s, it was still much easier to find pure strains, which passionate travelers collected from far-flung regions of the world. Today, such original lines are much harder to find.
The original parents can no longer be identified with complete certainty, but the base is generally considered to be pure sativas from Colombia, Mexico and Thailand, combined with genetic influence from Afghanistan. These lines were crossed and stabilised over many years by experienced breeders before this classic became widely known in the 1990s.
This strain has played a defining role in cannabis breeding and has appeared again and again in many crosses of later generations. It is therefore no surprise that it has won more than twenty titles at renowned Cannabis Cups.
