With Killer A5 Haze Feminized, a monstrous new sativa hybrid has been created that has the potential to produce the strongest plants with the highest THC content from the Ace catalogue.
A5 Haze is one of the rarest mothers (and probably the strongest) belonging to the family of elite Dutch clones of Haze hybrids that Neville Schoenmakers developed in the late 80s and which remain to this day. This Northern Lights #5/Haze A-mother is characterised by its extremely trippy and devastating potency, high production and by its furious, organic and powerful aromas of authentic Dutch 'old school' Haze with a greater influence of old Colombian sativas. The rarity of this A5 Haze mother is due to the fact that Neville lost the Haze A male very early on, meaning that seeds were never produced in commercial quantities with this Haze A male.
With Killer A5 Haze, the main aim was to create a sativa-dominant hybrid that retains (and even surpasses) the extreme potency, high vigour and high yields of the A5 mother. Ace Seeds has achieved this by crossing it with the killer phenotypes of the powerful Malawi, with which the THC content has been increased even further, up to 30% (the upper limit that cannabis plants can produce). At the same time, resin production and trichome size have been significantly increased and A5 Haze's long flowering time has been reduced to a moderate level (not only indoors, but also in its faster response to flowering outdoors) without having to introduce indica genetics. Despite its great sativa vigour and very high production, Killer A5 Haze grows with a controlled and manageable size, making it a sativa-dominant hybrid with the highest production per m².
In Killer A5 Haze you can discover 4 phenotypes:
Haze-dominant phenotype: this phenotype is the one that shows the greatest Colombian sativa influence of the Haze A male. It produces huge and beautiful colas with an excellent flower/leaf ratio that mature with elegant and delicate flowers. Woody and burning flavours of pure Haze. The resin production of this phenotype is good, but not as extreme as the following 3 phenotypes. Flowering time: 75-90 days.
NL/Haze pheno: This phenotype shows a stronger indica influence of Northern Lights and is therefore smaller, flowers faster and has a lower flower/leaf ratio. It is also the most faithful to the characteristics of the original A5 Haze mother, producing round and very resinous flowers with a silver appearance that produce characteristic horn-shaped buds at the end of flowering. Pungent, meaty (liver) and organic (petals of decaying flowers) flavours. Flowering time: 66-80 days.
Haze/Malawi pheno: Sativa-dominant and well-balanced pheno that exhibits characteristics of both Haze A and Malawi parents. It produces huge, very dense colas, with an excellent flower/leaf ratio, with the glossy resin coverage of our Malawi. It produces light blooms in its final phase, although not as pronounced as the first 2 phenos. Incense and woody Haze flavours, with the oily and resinous background of Malawi. Flowering time: 75-85 days.
Silver-coloured Malawi phenotype: Monstrous Sativa phenotype with a greater Malawi influence. Incredibly high flower-to-leaf ratio, very high production, with the classic huge trichomes and ovaries of our Malawi, and with a huge resin production that gives it an offensive silvery appearance when mature, taking the Characteristics of the Malawi Killer phenotype to a very extreme level rarely achieved before. Flowering time: 75-85 days.
With these new projects, Ace's priority is to try to raise the bar for Sativa Haze breeding by crossing these old Dutch elite Haze clones with elite parents of the most bred Sativa varieties and also experimenting in organoleptic terms with different types of incense profiles by hybridising elite parents in this respect.
The growth of Killer A5 Haze
This lady has excellent vigour. A typical branched sativa structure with medium internodal distance, of manageable size and spread.
Indoors, with the right care and ample and strong light intensity, excellent results can be achieved in terms of quality and production. It is very suitable for SOG crops due to the high yield in the main cola or for SCROG, horizontal or network cultivation due to the excellent yield in the side branches and the strong response to pruning.
Outdoors, it can be grown up to 43 degrees latitude, although due to the density and size of its flowers, it thrives best in climates with hot summers and warm, dry autumn weather.
High nutrient levels are recommended throughout the cycle.
The effect of Killer A5 Haze
Exceptionally strong, complex, deep and long-lasting. Psychedelic onset that completely alters visual, auditory and tactile perception, catapulting the psyche into new dimensions where there seems to be no tangible reality. As the effect progresses, there is an uncontrollable exuberance that later becomes more introspective and physical, resulting in a strong dissociation of mind and body and a powerful, opiate-like narcosis.
This plant is only recommended for the most intrepid and experienced psychonauts. It can cause panic and/or complete physical incapacitation in users with low tolerance or no experience with strong sativas of this calibre. After trying Killer A5 Haze, nothing will ever be the same again.
Smell and flavour of Killer A5 Haze
Dutch, old-school dark Haze flavour, strong, meaty (liver), with a strong organic/rotten background, with a final touch of decomposing petals, resin and dried wood.
It contains mainly the following monoterpenes: a very high content of beta-myrcene, moderate amounts of alpha-pinene and smaller amounts of limonene, beta-pinene and traces of ocimene 2. The content of sesquiterpenes is complex, including cis-beta-farnesene, beta-caryophyllene, trans-phytol, alpha-bisabolol, guaiol, trans-nerolidol, beta-farnesene and alpha-farnesene.
