GH Amnesia was undoubtedly one of the most iconic strains in Amsterdam in the early 90s. Famous for its high flower yield and potent effect, it is still a staple for many growers today, from beginners to experienced growers looking for strong citrus flavours and good production.
The growth of GH Amnesia
It has a very vigorous growth habit, with strong side branches that are able to support the weight and heavy flowers. The plant is very resistant to most external problems associated with growing, such as mould/fungus or pest infestation, which is especially helpful for outdoor growers.
A beautiful pine-shaped plant with a compact internodal structure that allows it to develop many flowering sites. The flowers of Amnesia are covered with shiny trichomes that fill the room with a citrus-like aroma. Its buds are very compact and fill the branches with heavy flowers and beautifully shaped conical tips.
The effect of GH Amnesia
The effect of Amnesia is a good mix of the head and body high of an indica, balanced by the uplifting effect of the sativa heritage. It sets in very quickly and lasts for a while, with a very relaxing effect.
Smell and taste of GH Amnesia
The taste of Amnesia is an intense mix of lemony flavours, combined with a kind of creaminess that can be reminiscent of freshly pressed olive oil notes, complemented by some slightly nutty/hazy notes on the inhale. The room is immediately filled with the smell of the burnt flower, no matter where you are, as it has a very distinct and strong odour that is peculiar to Amnesia and lingers in the air and on the palate for a while.
