Canna-Cheese 1:1 is Mephisto’s attempt to build an aromatic autoflower with a CBD direction. The starting point was Cannatonic, after Resin Seeds had given them a cutting of the mother plant.
Cannatonic offered a strong base for that: large, compact flowers, a distinct profile and, in the photoperiod version, already a 1:1 ratio of CBD to THC. For the auto line, the choice finally landed on Northern Cheese Haze because both parents match well in growth.
Over several selection rounds, this was worked toward very precisely, and after each round samples went into analysis. The majority stayed in the 1:1 range. A smaller part was a little more THC-heavy. From F5 onward it was stable: THC : CBD ratio, structure, aroma and resin production.
The growth of Canna-Cheese 1:1
Canna-Cheese 1:1 shows a very sativa-leaning structure. The plant grows dynamically, with a typical Christmas tree shape and large fan leaves. In cool nights, the flowers can turn darker toward the end of the flowering phase.
From seed to harvest it usually needs 11 to 13 weeks. The plants usually end up at around 80 to 110 cm and bring around 50 to 80 grams per plant.
The effect of Canna-Cheese 1:1
The effect starts clear and alert in the head and later shifts into a calmer physical relaxation. Through the 1:1 profile, it feels more balanced than many THC-heavy autos.
Such strains are often not chosen because of the maximum high, but because of a rounder, more controllable effect.
Its cannabinoids sit in a 1:1 CBD:THC ratio.
Smell and taste of Canna-Cheese 1:1
The profile feels spicy and distinct, with notes of black coffee, savory spice and a hint of red wine. Mephisto also describes the line as spicy, funky, fruity, earthy and floral. Exactly this odd mix is what makes it interesting.
