The growth of Blue Zushi
Blue Zushi is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis seed strain that grows and flowers relatively quickly. The average flowering time is around 9 weeks, but there are also phenotypes that are ready to harvest after just 8 weeks of flowering. It is easy to grow, suitable for beginners and copes well with all growing methods. With its compact buds, it can also provide novice growers with a real XL harvest without too much effort.
In terms of flowering time, it has the speed and compactness of an Indica. However, in terms of leaf and flower structure, especially during flowering, there are more signs of its sativa origins. But fortunately, without becoming as fluffy as some pure sativas. It can sometimes exhibit slight foxtails and a more elongated flower structure.
In general, you will find that all plants have this hybrid structure. During the vegetative phase, it grows nice and compact and bushy. Sometimes with very large fan leaves, especially when grown naturally. During the cannabis flowering phase, the leaves become slightly slimmer and thinner and you can see more of her sativa characteristics. The leaves can also become darker during the flowering stage, with red/purple hues (sometimes even black).
In general, the buds are green and completely covered with trichomes. In some phenotypes, the flowers can also have purple hues, which makes the appeal of this variety even more special!
The flowers are very white and sticky and even the small sugar leaves are bursting with trichomes. This also makes this strain ideal for producing all kinds of cannabis concentrates such as dry juice, bubble hash or rosin. The flowers have a favorable flower-to-leaf ratio and are easy to manicure (although you'll probably need to clean your scissors and fingers a little more often during the process).
The plants have a beautiful, inviting appearance, so keep control and don't harvest them too early. Otherwise you will miss out, because it is precisely in these last few weeks that the flowers of the cannabis plants swell and a multitude of delicious trichomes completely cover the cannabis buds.
Blue Zushi copes relatively well with colder temperatures. This makes it very suitable for indoor cultivation in winter, where the average temperature can be slightly lower than average compared to the rest of the year. There are phenotypes that are ready to harvest within 50 - 56 days, but to achieve this, the climate must be perfectly fine.
Outdoors, it is recommended to grow Blue Zushi only in the warmer Mediterranean areas with plenty of sunshine and higher average temperatures. It can also tolerate a temperate, colder but drier climate. However, it does not like constant rain or waterlogged soils at all. A climate with a lot of rainfall during the fall/flowering period is therefore strongly discouraged. The only solution for growing in these areas would be to grow it in pots under a cover (e.g. tarpaulin, greenhouse, etc.) with sufficient ventilation and/or a fan. Be careful with excessive humidity during the late flowering period, as it simply cannot tolerate it! Growing in a greenhouse is an option, provided there is sufficient ventilation and dehumidification where required.
Outdoors, in favorable sunny conditions, it produces a yield of around 500 - 750 grams/ 1.1-1.6 lb per plant. Especially when grown in large root bags with plenty of soil and organic nutrients.
When grown indoors, a yield of around 500 grams/m² (0.9 lb per square yard) is possible. In SOG cultivation, she also does very well and can yield a little more, reaching 550 - 600 grams/m² in the right hands.
This lady loves soil and sun! If she has enough of these, her results are sensational!
A tip for the outdoor grower: germinate the feminized Blue Zushi seeds indoors and allow them to grow indoors for around 4 to 6 weeks before the outdoor season begins. This will make the plants bigger, stronger and more resistant and they will grow faster when they are brought outside. Hardening off by gradually acclimatizing the plant to the outdoor climate (initially a few hours a day) is also useful to avoid too much stress at the beginning.

The smell and taste of Blue Zushi
Blue Zushi has a strong, fruity aroma with a predominantly fruity and gassy terpene profile with earthy, floral and sour lemon notes. Other plants tend to have a more pungent “gassy” profile with a more fruity and sour background.
The most dominant terpenes in this strain are limonene and caryophyllene, but linalool, myrcene and terpinolene are also among the top 5 cannabis terpenes in this strain. This usually provides a nice fruity, sweet and slightly tropical smell and taste.
In some plants, the gassy profile is dominant and these are often the most intense in smell. Fortunately, this strain tastes as good as it smells! When inhaled, you can taste both the sour and the gassy profile and it smokes really smoothly in a joint or vape.
