Green House Seeds was founded by Arjan Roskam in Amsterdam in the mid-1980s. Instead of staying in one place, he went out to look for genetics where cannabis had a long tradition: Africa, Asia, South America. He collected seeds, talked to local growers and documented what he found. Out of this came Strain Hunters later on – not as a campaign idea, but as a record of real plants, places and people.
This background still shapes the brand. Lines such as White Widow, Super Silver Haze, Great White Shark and Super Lemon Haze have passed through a lot of grow rooms over the years. They are not just “old names” – they are varieties that have shown over time how they behave, how they build, and what kind of profile they bring.
