Gelato has a deep connection with Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) and contains genes from classics like OG Kush, Cherry Pie and Durban Poison. The parent lines are Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Cookies.
The first strain is a heady cross between GSC and Pink Panties. It has a complex terpene profile that combines citrus and skun notes with hints of berries and candy. The second variety, on the other hand, is a phenotype of GSC, which is characterized by striking blue and purple colors and a thick layer of resin.
Both parent strains are known to deliver a heavy body stoned after the initial wave of euphoria subsides. Our gelato also delivers these effects.
The growth of Gelato
Until recently, gelato was very difficult to obtain. When growing gelato, growers should first consider the medium they plan to use. Experienced gardeners swear by the use of organic soil, as this makes optimal use of the terpene profile of the plants and makes them more aromatic. But gelato is also a pioneer in hydro systems when it comes to taste.
After switching to the 12/12 light cycle, it will take 8 to 10 weeks for the buds to fully develop. The yield is 400 - 500 g / m2.
Gelato also thrives outdoors. She is usually ready for harvest by late to mid October, and each plant can produce a generous 600 grams.
The smell and taste of Gelato
The fact that gelato comes from two incredibly delicious varieties makes it one of the best tasting varieties in our range. As expected, it has an exotic flavor profile similar to Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint GSC.
Their flavor profile is a complex blend of mint, citrus, berries, sorbet, orange, lavender, and biscuits.
The effect of Gelato
Gelato is a very strong variety with up to 24% THC. Even in small amounts, it has a mood-enhancing effect. Simultaneously with the cerebral high, a calming sensation begins that spreads throughout the body and relaxes the muscles. The gelato experience can be very intense at times.
Medicinal effects of Gelato
Gelato comes from a line that includes Durban Poison - one of the best medicinal strains of all time - and potentially has great potential for therapeutic use.
It relieves stress and relieves anxiety. It is also very popular for pain therapy. It promotes appetite and therefore also helps with eating disorders.
